Kofi D. Fynn is the Chief Executive Officer of Petra, a leading diversified financial services institution in Ghana with activities in pension trusteeship, personal financial planning, securities brokerage and fund administration. He is also a Co-Founder and Executive Director of Achieve, a fintech business that aims to conveniently provide quality financial services to every African. In addition to his executive roles, Kofi serves as the Board Chairman of Goldkey Properties, a real estate development company in Ghana.
Kofi has more than 25 years of experience in the investing and asset management space. Prior to his current role he was the Chief Operating Officer for Asset Management at Oceanic Capital, a Lagos-based investment bank. He joined Oceanic from Wellington Management Company in Boston, where he was a global fixed income portfolio manager. He started his investing career at Blackrock.Kofi holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Before joining Wellington Management Kofi worked at Blackrock Financial Management, a global asset management firm with over $3.6 trillion under management, At Blackrock he led the team responsible for the management of risk in all of the firm’s leveraged vehicles.
Kofi earned both bachelors and a master’s degree in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
